Who We Are
We are a multi-generational community of believers who have been called out by God, transformed by His grace, and gathered together to follow Jesus and make Him known. We're passionate about living out our faith in both truth and grace - unapologetically proclaiming the truth of God's Word while extending the same love and grace that Christ has shown us. If you’re new to the area, new to church, or just looking for a new start, we’d love to have you join us this Sunday!Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect on Sunday morning?
Our Sunday morning worship gatherings are 60-70 minutes long. Each service includes a time of worship followed by in-depth, verse-by-verse Bible teaching. Occasionally, we incorporate additional elements such as communion.
What should I wear?
We will always be committed to the serious and intentional study of God’s Word, but we’re not picky about what people wear. When you arrive on Sunday, you’re likely to see people in jeans and t-shirts as well as khakis and ‘dress clothes.’ The focus isn’t on what we wear, but on worshiping Jesus and studying the Word of God. Come as you are. We’ll just be glad to see you!
Will there be something for my children?
Yes! We offer programs for children from birth through 4th grade . We want to partner with you to guide your children’s hearts toward God by building meaningful relationships, engaging in age appropriate activities, and learning God’s Word – all while having lots of FUN! We invite all kids to join us in the main service for our time of worship, and then they’ll be dismissed to their classes. And just in case you’re wondering about safety, all of our awesome volunteers are Safe Kids certified and background checked, so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands!
Do I have to be a member to take communion?
We believe in open communion. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion, whether they are a church member or not.
What We Believe
Meet The Pastor
At Grand Haven Community Baptist, we’re deeply committed to studying God’s Word and living out our faith in meaningful ways. We want God’s Word to change us so we can make a difference for Christ in the world around us. If you’re seeking a church with this kind of focus, GHCBC might be just the place for you.
We would love to have you join us on a Sunday morning and experience our community firsthand. After the service, come say ‘hi’ to my wife, Lisa, and me. We’re always eager to meet new friends and help them connect with the work God is doing here. Our desire is to walk alongside you as you grow in your relationship with Jesus—the One who created you and gave His life for you.
